Tax Associate

Company Overview:

They are seeking a dedicated Tax Associate to join their Tax Practice, providing planning and compliance services to high-net-worth individuals and families.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual, trust, estate, gift, foundation, and business tax returns on a timely basis
• Review tax source documents and data pushed through OCR for accuracy
• Conduct tax research to support tax planning and compliance efforts
• Stay current on new tax legislation and tax reform
• Assist with handling Federal and State Tax notices
• Maintain detailed and organized tax files, including documenting all relevant information and supporting documents for tax returns
• Collect and input relevant financial records into tax return software or databases
• Analyze tax data submitted by clients to maximize the outcome for the client
• Support the tax planning process for clients and members of the Tax team
  
  

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required; Master’s in Taxation or Accountancy preferred
• Active CPA license or seeking CPA license preferred
• 1 to 3 years of prior work experience as a tax preparer preferred; Big 4 experience preferred
• Solid accounting knowledge and knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Experience in preparing individual, trust, and business tax returns
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and tax applications (e.g., CCH Axcess)
  
  

Compensation: Salary: $79,000 – $115,000, Plus Bonus
