Position Overview

Landing is looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant or Accounting Manager to support the finance team with various day to day accounting operations. Role will own full cycle AR/AP and inventory deliverables and manage key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reserves, and balance sheet reconciliations. Perform detailed general ledger account analysis and resolve discrepancies proactively. Ensure accurate revenue recognition and accounting treatment for various revenue streams in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Maintain and improve close schedules, supporting documentation, and accounting controls.

Responsibilities:

• Own the month-end close calendar and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Oversee cashflow forecasting, working capital management, and treasury-related activities
• Preparation of Financial statements, and  Management reporting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff; establish performance goals and support professional growth
• Maintains accounting & finance files & ERP systems
• Analytical review of variance & trend analysis
• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation
• Preparing analysis for financial reports
• Prepares and records journal entries
• Performs P&L, GL, BS, CF, Inventory, Bank reconciliations etc.
• Generates and audits reports and statements
• Researches various inquiries
• Other duties, projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business
• 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close and financial reporting with strong GAAP knowledge,
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff and able to work collaboratively with minimal supervision, paying close attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
• Strong understanding of internal controls, audit readiness, and accounting policy development
• Managing large volumes of data, performing various reconciliations, Payroll, AR/AP, Inventory, GL, P&L, BS, CF etc.
• Experience working with external auditors, tax preparers, or other financial partners
• Previous experience in accounting and fast paced CPG/Beauty industry preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Advanced proficiency with excel, vlookups, hlookups, pivots etc.

Pay Range: $90k-$110K
