Landing Gear Technologies (LGT) is an FAA-Certified Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of aircraft landing gears and components. Accessory Shop Technicians report directly to the Leadman of the department and as technician should have experience with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various types of Landing Gear accessories, including, hydraulic valves, hydraulic pumps, actuators, and other electrical/hydraulic components.
Accessory Shop Technicians build and perform tests on systems and components to determine operability, quality, performance and suitability. Troubleshoots repairs and modifies as required, technical background working on an aviation component relevant hands on experience turning wrenches on hydraulic units.
Location: The right candidate for this role must be residing in South Florida, as the position is fully onsite.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing components, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, involving the use of sophisticated testing equipment, meters, tools, schematics and diagrams, etc.
· Follow procedures per FAA regulations and OEM instructions to disassemble, inspect, process parts as required and troubleshoot units to identify problems and correct them.
· Ability to read and interpret FAA AD, OEM SB, SL, IPL, IPC and Customer Engineering Orders.
· Ability to solder and de-solder components.
· Must be organized.
· Must have basic tools Job Requirements Qualifications.
· Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be mechanically inclined.
· Must have working knowledge of technical specifications in order to meet Quality Control requirements, Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Overhaul Manual (OHM), Service Bulletins (SB), and Airworthiness Directives (AD) specifications and/or customer requirements
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a component shop environment.
· Candidate must possess a High School diploma or its equivalent.
· Candidate must have experience testing hydraulic accessories.
· Candidate must possess the ability to troubleshoot, calibrate and repair units, using schematics diagrams, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and other documents.
· Candidate must possess the ability to work with little or no supervision.
· A & P preferable but not mandatory.
· Candidate must understand, write, and read English and a knowledge of basic math.
· Candidate must be able to provide FAA Training Records
