This is a contract role for a Freelance Interpreter located in Manhattan, NY with some work-from-home flexibility. The Freelance Interpreter will be responsible for providing high-accuracy interpretation services in both online and on-site settings, facilitating seamless communication between Chinese and English-speaking clients. Tasks include interpreting during meetings, conferences, and business transactions, and ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate translations.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English with excellent interpretation skills
- Experience in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation across various settings
- Strong understanding of cross-cultural communication principles
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in translations
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, or a related field
- Experience in business or legal interpretation is a plus
