What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Land Title?
What we need from you:
The Accounting Clerk’s primary responsibility is to provide support in a variety of clerical functions for the accounting department. This position provides overflow support for the construction disbursement team. The Accounting Clerk uses independent judgment in completing activities and operates under general supervision.
This is an in-office position, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- Obtains proper documents with approvals and processes invoices for payment
- Researches past due balances with vendors
- Prepares daily check deposits and assists in accurately coding them
- Runs daily accounts receivable routines and posts in appropriate systems
- Greets customers enthusiastically and professionally, either over the phone or in person, with an emphasis on representing Land Title in a way that builds customer relationships and a positive corporate image
- Answers customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Initiates outgoing wires from the internal system to online banking products
- Downloads incoming wires from banks and inputs in LTGC system
- Processes daily wires reports
- Communicates with bank(s) to resolve wire issues
- Provides back-up for the over/short process, making adjustments as needed
- Initiates daily stop pays on the banking system

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Solid working knowledge of e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite, Google systems, and internet
- Experience in accounting clerical position or a banking role with high customer contact preferred
- Experience working in a customer service environment required
Compensation:
- The anticipated salary for this position is $40,000 to $46,000 annually.
- In accordance with Colorado state law, this position is non-exempt and all overtime will be paid at time and a half.
- There is potential for an annual employee profit-sharing bonus based upon company performance.
