Job Overview
The Real Estate Title Assistant is responsible for coordinating new order entries, creating transaction files, and helping to complete title search orders.
Duties
- Process and create new title search orders.
- Enter information into electronic title plant database and setup initial file for title examiner to complete.
- Assist with receiving and preparing new order files for title searches and commitments.
- Access and review judgment records.
- Conduct searches for recorded documents both at the courthouse and at the office using electronic title plant software.
- Prepare reports outlining current owners and encumbrances against real property titles.
- Assist with uploading and transferring electronic files to help maintain title plant.
- Assist with preparation and issuance of title insurance final policies.
- Communicate effectively with title officers and office staff to clarify or resolve issues found during searches.
Experience
- Real estate, legal, or insurance experience a plus.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
