Job Description
Due to continued growth and expansion a national Title Insurance Agency has an opportunity for Title Commitment Typist (min 60 wpm, superior accuracy). After a training period in our Fort Washington, PA office, there is potential to work remotely.

Duties
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Input new orders; type title insurance commitments from title examination notes; type title insurance policy proformas; follow up on examinations placed to insure timely receipt of information; scan documentation to appropriate files for distribution; work closely with production team; organize and prioritize workload according to established goals and time frames; support and follow all Company initiatives and procedures; complete production report on a weekly and monthly basis.
Requirements
Title Express software proficiency.
Real estate background, must have understanding of title insurance, strong computer skills and ability to accurately type at least 60 words per minute. Demonstrated superior customer service skills in communicating with internal customers and branch offices.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Document Production: Type and prepare preliminary reports, title commitments, final policies, and closing documents.
- Data Accuracy: Review title search data for accuracy and input legal property descriptions, exceptions, and requirements into software.
- Compliance: Ensure all documents adhere to company, state, and underwriter guidelines.
- File Maintenance: Organize recorded documents, maintain file accuracy, and ensure timely delivery of commitments.
- Coordination: Collaborate with title officers, escrow agents, and examiners to resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in title insurance, real estate, or high-volume data entry is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Word and Outlook) and knowledge of title software such as Title Express, SoftPro, RamQuest, ResWare.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in legal documents.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for professional interaction with internal teams and clients.
- Production Focus: Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
