Job Title: Quality Technician
Summary
This role is responsible for performing analytical and bacteriological testing on raw material, in-process material, and finished product to ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others
- Performs analyses, inspections, sampling, and testing to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements
- Evaluates non-conforming results and initiates re-sampling, re-testing, and/or hold procedures
- Works with Quality Assurance Managers, Lab Supervisors and staff to foster and develop Quality programs
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- 6 months of work experience in any industry
- Basic computer and math skills
Preferred Experience
- 1 years previous work in a food laboratory
- Good knowledge of analytical techniques and procedure
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
