Job Description
Land IQ LLC is seeking an experienced, responsible, and reliable professional to support the surveying needs of our rapidly growing client base in the greater Nashville area. This individual must be capable of independently operating the necessary task-specific survey equipment at a proficient level to produce high-quality survey work across a variety of data collection and layout applications.
As the Senior Survey Crew Chief, you will work directly with the Principal-in-Charge/Professional Land Surveyor to ensure project timelines and data requirements are consistently met or exceeded. Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Survey Crew Chief, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing boundary retracements in a variety of environments
- Collecting detailed topographic data across diverse project sites
- Conducting highly accurate construction layout for horizontal and vertical development
- Establishing and maintaining reliable and precise survey control
- Communicating clearly and consistently with clients and company leadership
- Troubleshooting and solving problems for both clients and company
- Making sound decisions independently in varying field conditions
- Managing and evaluating boundary, topographic, as-built, and design data
- Meeting project timelines while ensuring efficient and accurate data collection and transmission
Qualifications
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- 7 years of field surveying experience, including at minimum of 4 years as a Crew Chief
- High school diploma required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proficiency with surveying instruments including:
- Robotic total stations
- GPS equipment
- Auto levels
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule
- Ability to train and mentor junior crew members
- Strong deed and plat interpretation skills for boundary retracement
- Ability to analyze and evaluate plan sets and verify calculations
- Capability to calculate data as needed
Additional qualifications that are a plus, but not required:
- CAD proficiency
- LSIT
- Part 107
- College education in surveying or a related field
- Trimble proficiency
Compensation
- Salary range $70,000 to 90,000
- Negotiated Healthcare Stipend paid directly to you capped at $2500 yearly
