What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader/Driver position at Land Designs of Southern Florida, Inc.?
For almost 40 years, Land Designs of Southern Florida has been providing landscape services to the South Florida community. Our company was born from a desire to bring the highest quality, most reliable landscape services to the homes and communities of South Florida.
We are currently seeking experienced drivers to enhance our operations. The ideal candidates will be able to operate large dump trucks (at times, with trailers), be great team workers, and showcase their experience in residential landscaping.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company trucks and trailers to transport crew, equipment, and materials to and from job sites
- Load, secure, and unload landscaping tools, machinery, and supplies
- Lead and support crew members in daily landscaping tasks (mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, etc.)
- Follow job schedules, routes, and work orders to ensure timely completion of projects
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Assist with job site setup, cleanup, and material organization
- Communicate with supervisors regarding job progress, site conditions, and supply needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, trailers, and equipment
- Provide basic training or guidance to crew members as needed
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Operate various types of equipment and machinery.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Be apt for physical labor, which can include lifting, bending, etc.
- Have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and be a team player.
- Be able to clearly communicate in English.
Experience:
- High school or equivalent (preferred).
- At least three years of landscape knowledge.
