Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care duties such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to ensure lush, healthy grass.
- Maintain landscapes by planting, pruning trees and shrubs, and applying horticultural practices to promote growth.
- Use hand tools and power tools for landscape maintenance, including hedge trimmers, blowers, trimmers, and saws.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators for grading or landscaping projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of lawns and gardens.
- Conduct snow plowing operations during winter months to keep roads and walkways clear of snow and ice.
- Assist with hardscape projects like patio installation or walkway repair to enhance property aesthetics.
- Perform routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards requiring attention.
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge of mechanical systems, landscaping techniques, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects is essential.
- Basic understanding of lawn care practices such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance tasks including tree trimming, gardening, and hardscape installation is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive approach to property upkeep.
