What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Services Consultant - West Coast position at Lancope?
Lancope is looking for a highly technical, customer oriented services consultant who has proven experience in implementing complex solutions for enterprise customers. The role is to serve as the customer’s StealthWatch (SW) subject matter expert for implementation, fine-tuning, and 3rd party technology integration for projects that may range from days to many months. The successful candidate will have extensive network and security experience and be able to work with the customer’s technical staff as well as communicate with higher-level management.
Main Responsibilities

Serve as the SW subject matter expert on short term engagements for Lancope’s customer base

Work with customer network and security operations on SW network design and installation

Analyze current installation and recommend implementation and fine-tuning details to increase SW effectiveness

Communicate with customer engineering and management on project details and progress

Partner with sales team to enhance sales opportunities in customer accounts

Provide product feature input to product management to influence future development.
Desired Experience and Skills
-
6 years of experience in a services or sales engineering role at a data network vendor, DPI equipment vendor, security vendor, service provider or network security company.

6 years of related technical experience, installing, designing, managing, administering and supporting an enterprise network.

Proven track record working directly with enterprise customers to implement complex technical solutions

Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, Load balancers, proxies and firewalls.

Strong understanding of network security including, DDoS, Firewall, IDS, IPS, anti-virus and common exploits.

Solid understanding of IP network design/operation.

Experience in writing code, scripts, and/or parsers for 3rd party technology integration would be a plus

Excellent Presentation, written, and verbal skills.

Ability to travel 50 - 75% of time.
