What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician I position at Lanco?
The Facilities Technician I assists with the maintenance, operation, and repair of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure. Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Technician, I will gain hands-on experience and training while helping to ensure that facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
Essential Function
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
- Perform general upkeep such as lighting, filter changes, painting, and minor repairs
- Support preventive maintenance efforts and complete assigned work orders
- Respond to service requests and assist in resolving building issues in a timely, professional manner
- Maintain mechanical rooms, tools, and storage areas in a safe and orderly condition
- Follow all safety protocols and Mi-Jack policies
- Participate in after-hours and emergency response duties as needed
Qualifications
- High School or GED
- 1 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or mechanical trades preferred
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or mechanical trades
- Strong interest in commercial building systems and maintenance
- Ability to learn and follow technical instructions
- Good communication skills and a strong team player attitude
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in mechanical areas
Compensation/Benefits:

The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
