We are seeking a Lead Project Engineer to lead assigned engineering projects from concept through completion. What You’ll Do
- Lead assigned projects from conception through completion, ensuring key design deliverables are achieved.
- Build and manage project plans, including scope, timing, budget, and resource needs.
- Coordinate with engineering, sales, and customers to define machine requirements and support successful project outcomes.
- Monitor project performance against objectives and key performance indicators, providing regular updates to leadership.
- Guide cross-functional collaboration to ensure system compatibility and alignment with platform requirements.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and supporting business justifications tied to project activities.
- Support functionality and performance improvements by helping define requirements and implementation plans.
- Promote compliance with safety, quality, and company policies while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, with emphasis in mechanical, industrial, structural, automotive, electrical, or a related discipline.
- 5 years of engineering experience, including experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; experience with MS Project or similar project management tools preferred.
- General knowledge of machine design, development practices, and machine operation.
- Preferred: 10 years of relevant engineering experience and PMP or CPAM-PMI certification.
- This position may be based in Lenexa, KS, Hazel Crest, IL, or Union City, TN.
- Minimal travel is required, up to 10% domestically and internationally.
