QC Inspect I

Job Title: QC Inspect I (5202) Location: Tulsa, OK 74117 Duration: 4 Years  Pay Rate: $32.18 per hour  Shift Timings: Second Shift –3: 00 PM to 1: 30 AM   Job Description: The QC Inspect I is responsible for performing quality inspections of aircraft parts, subassemblies, major assemblies, and installations to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and FAA-approved procedures. The role involves inspecting manufacturing processes, verifying documentation, identifying defects, and supporting manufacturing teams to maintain product quality and safety.   Key Responsibilities: Perform preliminary, progressive, and final inspections of aircraft structures and systems. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications. Conduct conformity and first-article inspections in accordance with FAA-approved procedures. Verify aircraft component functionality, inspect for foreign object debris (FOD), and validate production paperwork. Witness, verify, and document manufacturing process steps. Ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment. Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel and participate in continuous improvement activities. Follow workplace safety procedures and report potential hazards.   Required Skills: Quality inspection experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents. Working knowledge of shop mathematics. Familiarity with basic shop tools and inspection equipment. Attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.   Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience required. 2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent aerospace experience preferred. Completion of the formal inspection training program within 90 days is required. Knowledge of CATIA or blueprint reading and interpretation is required.
