Schedule
- Tuesday - Thursday: 3:30 AM - 12:00 PM
- Friday - Saturday: 2:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Early shift availability is a firm requirement. Candidates who thrive in early-morning schedules and prefer finishing their workday by midday will find this a great fit.
Responsibilities
- Open the bakery and perform equipment startup procedures and checklists
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on production lines, conveyors, packaging equipment, and support systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Troubleshoot conveyor issues, chain repairs, and related mechanical problems
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance logs and inspection checklists
- Track parts and tools inventory and communicate ordering needs to the maintenance manager
- Support light facility maintenance as needed (HVAC, lighting, plumbing)
- Assist with equipment setups alongside the production team
- Uphold GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards in all tasks
Required Qualifications
- Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills — able to diagnose why a conveyor or production line is not functioning
- Familiarity with chain types and basic chain repair (e.g., difference between 35 and 40 chain)
- Hands-on equipment repair experience from manufacturing, food production, pharmaceutical, or similar industrial environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions including production floors and temperature-controlled environments
- Safety-first mindset with working knowledge of GMP and food safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with pneumatics — able to identify components such as solenoids and actuators
- Experience with VFDs, PLCs, or HMI control systems (training available on the job)
- Background in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environments
- Ability to read electrical schematics or technical manuals
- CMMS or work order documentation experience
