Manchester Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced and adaptable ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Critical Care team for a 12-week night shift assignment. This role supports both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Step-Down/Intermediate Care Unit, requiring clinicians who are confident managing high-acuity patients in fast-paced critical care environments.
The ideal candidate brings strong critical care experience, flexibility with floating between units, and proficiency with both Meditech and Epic EMR systems as the facility transitions to Epic in June 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to ICU and step-down patients
- Monitor, assess, and manage critically ill adult patients
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment
- Administer medications, treatments, and advanced nursing interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely charting within Meditech and Epic EMR systems
- Float between ICU and Intermediate/Step-Down units based on census and operational needs
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent critical care/ICU experience
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Experience with both:
- Meditech EMR
- Epic EMR
- Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
- Ability to work independently in high-acuity settings
- Shift: Nights (7p–7:30a)
- 36 hours per week
- No on-call requirement
- Floating required between ICU and Step-Down/Intermediate Care units
- Time-off requests are limited and must be approved at submission
