Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM (12-hour nights/evenings)
 

Catholic Medical Center is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 12-week travel assignment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced Emergency Department that treats a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, and critical care cases.

• 25 treatment/procedure rooms 8 hallway beds (in constant use)
• 4-bed secure psychiatric holding area (Annex)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4:1 (flexible during surges)
• Collaborative team of 80 staff members
• EMR System: Sunrise / Allscripts

• High-acuity patients with complex conditions, including:
  • Cardiac (New England Heart Institute cases)
  • Trauma and stroke
  • Sepsis and DKA
  • Psychiatric emergencies

• Deliver rapid, high-quality emergency nursing care
• Perform patient assessments and prioritize care in critical situations
• Interpret EKGs and manage cardiac drips
• Assist with trauma response and emergency procedures
• Administer medications and initiate treatment protocols
• Perform IV/IO insertions, including ultrasound-guided IVs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Active RN License (must be active at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (required)
• Strong IV and critical care skills
• Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments

• Travel nursing experience
• Strong EKG interpretation skills
• Experience with high-acuity emergency cases

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability in fast-paced, high-volume settings
• Dependability and professionalism

• Trauma care and stroke management
• Laceration repair and orthopedic emergencies
• Cardiopulmonary stabilization
• Psychiatric emergency care
• Ultrasound-guided IV insertion and IO access
