Registered Nurse – Inpatient Psych (Adult Co-Occurring Disorders Unit)
Facility: Brattleboro Retreat
Location: Brattleboro, VT
Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: 05/11/2026 (Mandatory)

Role Overview:

• Adult inpatient psych unit (co-occurring disorders: substance abuse psychiatric conditions)
• Provides care for patients with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and addiction
• Involves clinical supervision of MHWs and participation in multidisciplinary care
• Must be comfortable with high-acuity adult psych patients

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years RN experience
• Recent inpatient adult psych experience (within last 3 months) – REQUIRED
• Active Vermont or Compact RN license
• BLS (AHA) required
• Must be willing to float and take charge shifts
• First-time travelers accepted

Submission Requirements:

• Resume with psych experience & age groups listed
• 2 recent supervisory references
• Psych skills checklist (within 1 year)
• Driver’s license/address (local radius rule: 35 miles → 10% rate reduction)
• RTO: Max 7 days, none allowed during first 2 weeks

Important Notes:

• Strict start date: 05/11 – no exceptions
• RTO blackout dates apply (multiple dates May–Sept)
• Rural location – limited housing & transport
• Facility can cancel up to 3 shifts per contract
