Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will manage patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, ensuring safe, effective, and therapeutic care.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with behavioral and mental health conditions
- Monitor patient status and document responses to treatments and interventions
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Observe patient behavior and intervene when necessary
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures
- Coordinate referrals and discharge planning
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (Required)
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and patient care techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
- BSN preferred
- Active Oklahoma RN License OR Compact RN License (Required)
- BLS Certification (AHA) (Required)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification (Required)
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
- Ability to manage behavioral health patients safely
- Cultural competency and patient-centered care approach
- Basic computer and documentation skills
