Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – OR/Surgical Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to provide intraoperative support in a fast-paced OR/Surgical Services environment. The CST will assist surgical teams across multiple specialties, ensuring patient safety, sterile technique, and adherence to established protocols. This position includes occasional on-call and float responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical teams in Ambulatory OR and General OR settings.
• Provide support for a variety of surgical procedures, including:
  • Vascular: AAA repair, carotid stenting/endarterectomy, bypass grafts
  • ENT: Endoscopic sinus procedures, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy
  • General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy
  • Gynecology: Hysterectomy, tubal ligation, D&C, colporrhaphy
  • Neurosurgery: Cervical fusion, laminectomy, lumbar fusion
  • Ophthalmology: Cataract surgery, eye trauma, glaucoma surgery
  • Orthopedic: Arthroscopy, total knee/hip replacement, fracture reduction
  • Robotics: Colorectal, GI, gynecologic, orthopedic, urologic robotic surgeries
  • Thoracic & Urology: VATS, lung resection, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique, sterilization/disinfection, specimen handling, sharps safety, laser and radiation safety, and universal protocol (time-out) procedures.
• Participate in emergency management, fire safety, and on-call support.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1.5 years of Surgical Technologist experience, OR experience preferred.

   

• Certifications:
  • Required: BLS
  • Preferred: NBSTSA certification
• Strong skills in surgical asepsis, sterile field setup, and intraoperative support.
• Experience with multiple surgical specialties is a plus.
