Job Description
- Client is seeking an experienced and talented Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.
- This role requires a deep understanding of technical planning, system integration, and the ability to perform comprehensive network system analyses.
- The ideal candidate will have expertise in Wireless Cellular technologies like LTE and 5G and satellite such as STARLINK.
- The primary responsibility will be to design backhaul communication solutions for disadvantaged sites within the National Airspace System (NAS).
Responsibilities:
• Perform technical planning and system integration to develop total system solutions.
• Conduct verification and validation processes, ensuring that designs meet customer requirements.
• Perform cost and risk analyses to ensure supportability and effectiveness of systems.
• Engage in concept development, system design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal of systems.
• Convert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions, balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies to optimize design solutions.
• Allocate requirements and define interfaces to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Develop wireless communication solutions leveraging LTE, 5G, and STARLINK technologies for enhanced backhaul capabilities.
• Ensure seamless integration and operation of communication networks in the NAS.
• Collaborate and lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
• Generate content and present at system development lifecycle design reviews such as SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, and TRR
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 12 years of prior relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
• Proven experience with Wireless Cellular technologies such as LTE and 5G.
• Experience with STARLINK Services
• Demonstrated ability to perform system analysis at all levels, from concept to disposal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable hardware and software specifications.
• Eligibility to be granted and maintain an FAA Public Trust level clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• INCOSE? Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification
• Relevant certifications in Cellular and Satellite Technologies such as CWDP, CWAP, Fundamentals and Technology Certifications in 5G or LTE, or CSNP
• Experience in the National Airspace System (NAS) or other aviation-related systems.
Salary : $80 - $85
