Job Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health Office Nurse to join its healthcare team in Peterborough, New Hampshire.

The Behavioral Health Office Nurse is responsible for coordinating and providing professional nursing care to assigned patients while working independently within accepted nursing practices, medical direction, and hospital policies. This position uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records and documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes or concerns.
• Educate patients and families regarding disease management, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Provide emotional support and advocate for patients' rights and well-being.
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and nursing standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with healthcare practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing – Required.
• Current New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license – Required.
• BLS certification (AHA) – Required.
• ACLS certification (AHA) – Required.
• PALS certification may be required/provided as applicable.
• Behavioral Health or psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, organizational, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Important: NH or Compact RN license and required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission. The facility will not pend licenses or certifications.

• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
