Description:
We are looking for a person to join our expanding Project Controls & Reporting team as a Risk Specialist, focused on project risk management within Project Controls.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
• Creation and maintenance of Project and Program Risk Registers and other risk information
• Challenging risk information to ensure it is realistic, robust and stands up to scrutiny
• Facilitation of risk workshops to identify and manage specific risks and issues
• Effective implementation of Risk Management processes, including statistical tools
• Promoting the benefits and requirements of risk management within the project and program teams
• Assisting with the identification and development of appropriate management responses which are
measurable and specific, along with assessing the post mitigated positions
• Producing risk reports, in a timely manner, to support the effective communication of the risk position
• Working with other Project Controls disciplines to ensure compliance & alignment of project information, specifically Earned Value Management (EVM) framework and Estimating processes

Qualifications
• Experience in managing risk in a project or program environment is essential
• Experience running risk workshops w/ multiple stakeholders is strongly desired
• Experience of working in the utilities sector is desirable
• A solid understanding of Monte Carlo risk analysis
• An understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls (Scheduling, Cost Control, Change Control)
interact with Risk Management is desirable
• Familiarity with at least one risk standard or approach (ISO31000, APM, Orange Book, IPA) is desirable
• A qualification such as APM Risk Certificate Level 2 or Management of Risk (MoR) Practitioner is desirable
• Familiarity with at least one risk tool (ARM, Predict! Risk Controller, Risk Hive, Xactium, Palisade @Risk) is desirable
• The ability to travel to project sites as required is essential
