Job Description:
- The Planner is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring the flow of materials to support build plans and meet operational targets within defined budget parameters.
- This role proactively analyzes material requirements, ensuring timely forecasting and alignment of supply with demand.
- The Planner manages and maintains the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to support efficient production execution.
- Responsibilities include identifying and addressing material shortages, navigating supply or planning deviations, and recommending adjustments to build plans in response to evolving business conditions.
- The role also ensures clear and timely communication of delivery status, risks, and priority shifts to relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production process to meet project timelines with minimal supervision
- Perform material requirement analysis to support both near-term execution and longer-term demand planning; identify and resolve supply gaps
- Maintain and update MRP system data, including Bills of Materials (BOM) and item attributes, to ensure accurate material planning for projects
- Assess material availability and provide recommendations for disposition (e.g., excess, alternate usage, or obsolescence) in coordination with cross-functional partners
- Adjust manufacturing and supply plans in response to design changes, material constraints, or shifting priorities, and communicate impacts to stakeholders
- Support execution of build plans by releasing and managing material requirements across the production cycle
- Identify, track, and resolve material shortages or planning deviations; generate and communicate shortage reports
- Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to troubleshoot issues and support decision-making
- Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Business teams to align on requirements, schedules, and priorities
- Manage individual tasks, timelines, and deliverables with a structured and detail-oriented approach

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
OR
Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience
OR
High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- APICS or equivalent supply chain certification
- 2 years of experience in NPI materials planning, production operations, or engineering program support
- Demonstrated process improvement achievements
- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration within a matrixed organization
- Experience communicating with senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks or initiatives
