Engineering Technician II / Medical Devices | 2nd Shift

Job Overview

• We are seeking an Engineering Technician II to support medical device R&D, product development, testing, and post-launch improvements.
• This role will work in a laboratory environment performing hands-on testing, prototype and fixture builds, troubleshooting, data analysis, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support mechanical engineering and laboratory testing activities.
• Build prototypes, test fixtures, and support validation methods.
• Conduct tests, inspect products, and analyze test data.
• Maintain lab equipment, samples, inventory, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and testing issues.
• Support Lean/6S, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and equipment suppliers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field preferred.
• 3–5 years of related engineering technician experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Basic SolidWorks, technical drawing/drafting, and Minitab skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles and medical device manufacturing/testing.
• Familiarity with GMP, FDA, ISO 9001, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. and work in a cleanroom environment.

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.
Training: First month on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.
