We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst / QA Analyst who brings a balanced blend of business analysis and quality assurance expertise. This role requires hands-on experience in requirements gathering, test planning, execution, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (50%)
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts to ensure full test coverage
- Execute manual testing and validate applications against defined business requirements and user acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions meet functional requirements
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders
- Identify, document, and track defects, performance issues, and usability concerns
Business Analysis (30%)
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, and workflows
- Perform gap analysis (as-is vs. to-be) and identify process improvements
- Create use cases (standard, alternate, exception flows) and user stories
- Define clear and testable acceptance criteria
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts across cross-functional teams
Process Improvement & Automation (20%)
- Define and enhance BA and QA standards, processes, and documentation
- Identify opportunities for test automation
- Document test flows, data dependencies, and system integrations
- Support implementation of automation using approved tools
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Windows Server environments
- Hands-on experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile – Scrum, Kanban)
- Intermediate experience with Visual Studio / TFS / VSTS
- Experience working with .NET applications and ETL processes
- Strong experience with SQL Server (2008 R2 & 2016)
- Experience with SSIS and SSRS
- Extensive experience in backend database testing:
- Indexes
- Triggers
- Stored Procedures
- Packages
- Solid experience with STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with API testing
- Exposure to test automation frameworks/tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
