We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud & Security Engineer to design, implement, and secure cloud-based infrastructure and applications within Microsoft Azure. This role will support cloud engineering and security initiatives by managing Azure environments, enforcing security best practices, and developing high-quality technical documentation.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring system availability, integrity, and security while supporting Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) efforts. This position requires a strong balance of cloud architecture, security engineering, automation, and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Engineering
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and cost-effective Azure solutions
- Manage core Azure services including compute, networking, storage, and identity
- Optimize system performance, availability, and cost efficiency
Security Engineering
- Implement and monitor security controls, baselines, and threat detection
- Configure Azure-native security tools (Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Sentinel)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation activities
- Apply Zero Trust and defense-in-depth security principles
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates
- Automate deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and PowerShell
Monitoring & Incident Response
- Monitor systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and SIEM tools
- Provide Tier 3 support for cloud and security incidents
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Support and maintain DR/BC strategies and solutions
- Ensure systems meet availability and resiliency requirements
Documentation & Compliance
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and diagrams
- Translate complex systems into clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, HIPAA, and FedRAMP
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with development, security, and operations teams
- Support change management and ITIL processes
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to internal documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and architecture
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity management
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert or SC-200 / SC-300
- CISSP, CompTIA Security , or equivalent certifications
- Experience with SIEM/security monitoring tools
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, HIPAA, FedRAMP)
Salary : $60 - $65
