Summary/Objective
Responsible for developing, organizing, and maintaining clear, concise documentation for all Lancer developed equipment. This includes user manuals, assembly instructions, maintenance guides, and standard operating procedures tailored for both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Essential Functions
. Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including Installation manuals, operator and maintenance manuals, safety guidelines, parts catalogs, spec sheets and technical service bulletins.

. Collaborate with engineering, production, and technical support to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.

. Translate engineering data and specifications into clear, user-friendly documents.

. Create visual content such as diagrams, illustrations, and exploded views using 2D/3D CAD drawings and models to support documentation.

. Ensure documentation illustrates compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal brand guidelines.

. Review and revise existing documentation to reflect design updates or process changes.

. Coordinate translation and localization efforts for global markets as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
. Familiarity with style guides like Microsoft Manual of Style, Chicago Manual of Style, APA etc.

. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and documentation platforms Knowledge of content management system tools and version control systems.

. Experience working with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks Composer, Autodesk, Creo) to create technical illustrations

. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into concise, accessible language.

. Strong attention to grammar, tone, and formatting consistency.

. Ability to gather information from subject matter experts (SMEs) and source documents.

. Capable of managing multiple documentation projects simultaneously, including timelines and milestones.

. Works effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, product managers, and technical operations.

. Ability to use visuals (diagrams, tables, screenshots) to enhance comprehension.

. Ability to break down complex systems and processes into clear documentation structures.

. Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality output.

. Seek feedback and iteratively improve documentation based on user input or technical changes.

Education & Experience
. Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Communications, or related field.

. 3 years of experience in technical writing within a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably with OEM equipment.

. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial manufacturing processes.

. Experience working with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks Composer, Autodesk, Creo) preferred.

. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely involves using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands
Standing, sitting, walking, and bending as needed. Using the proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects up to 30 lbs. May have to reach for object at or above shoulder height. May be required to operate traditional office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines and telephone.
