What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Lancaster Urology?
Seeking a LPN to join the team at Keystone Urology Specialists! As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing primary care to patients (including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation) in our medical office.
This is a full-time position; Monday – Friday. No evenings or weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Provides quality patient care by adhering to practice guidelines, standards of care and federal/state laws and regulations
- Creates a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations; adheres to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Documents patient care services by charting in electronic medical records (Medent)
- Partners with others within the practice to improve patient care processes and outcomes
- Monitor and maintain inventory of nursing supplies, anticipate necessary supplies; ensures proper operation of medical equipment and completes preventative maintenance requirements set forth
- Continue to build and maintain professional and technical knowledge in urology
- Creates a positive working relationship among the physicians and KUS staff; demonstrates respect; proactively communicates with others;
- Acts as a team player to help the practice achieve its goals and provide 5-Star service to our patients
Minimum Qualifications:
- State-licensed practical nurse(LPN)
- Current CPR certificate
- Experience in urology and/or O.R. preferred
