Various hours and locations available but all positions have evenings, weekends and holidays OFF. School year AND year round schedules available. Positions start at $17.36/hr. Paid personal day and sick days ,as well as training opportunities are provided.
Paraeducators & Personal Care Assistants (PCA's) provide instructional, behavioral, and personal care support to students (or assigned 1:1 student) in Special Education classrooms in Lancaster & Lebanon County. The form of support needed for each assignment will depend largely on the type of classroom in which the paraeducator or PCA is assigned.
Requirements
The strength and ability to lift and/or assist in lifting pupils of ages ranging from pre-school to twenty-one and any assistive appliances, for example: wheelchair. The ability to physically restrain students in emotional stress by using the Crisis Prevention Institute Training or Safe Crisis Management method for which training will be provided.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, and
- Hold a PA Paraeducator Credential of Competency Certificate (or be willing to complete the FREE online program within 6 months of hire date), or
- Completed a minimum of 48 post secondary credits in ANY content area, or
- Completed associate degree or higher in ANY content area, and
- Willing to complete 20 hours of staff development each school year AND As required by the PA Department of Education: Each school year, provide evidence of 20 hours of staff development activities related to position. Pro-ration will apply based on date of hire within the school year.
- Certification Required: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Safe Crisis Management Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (SCM) or Crisis Prevention Training and Safe Crisis Management
