Duties
- Safely operate box trucks to deliver furniture to residential or commercial locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load and unload furniture items using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and complete delivery documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Carry heavy furniture inside homes without causing damage
- Assist with warehouse operations by loading inventory onto trucks and organizing materials for efficient route driving
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or moving services is highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or courier services is a plus
- Must pass a background check and a drug test
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace
- Physical ability to lift heavy furniture items safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during all interactions
- Ability to work part-time hours flexibly, including Saturdays
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Pay: $22.00 per hour
