Position Summary:
We are looking for Seasonal Warehouse Associates to help us with the upcoming Spring/Summer harvesting seasons. These roles can lead to permanent employment based on performance and business needs. These positions will include a variety of warehouse tasks, such as packing food boxes and organizing products. Warehouse experience is not necessary - we train on the job. If you have a good attitude and sense of humor, enjoy free healthy food, appreciate a people-first work culture, and are looking for flexibility in your work schedule, this position is exactly what you've been looking for! Who We Are:
Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative is a nonprofit organic farmers' co-operative of 120 farmers in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Our farmers focus on creating healthy, high-quality foods from our highly maintained and enriched soils on our small-scale family farms. We deliver the best local organic produce, value-added products, and humanely raised and pastured animal products to retail establishments, co-ops, restaurants, schools, hospitals, and other institutions.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Attention to detail to ensure correct item and quantity are selected
• Proper handling of the product to eliminate damage and shrink
• Maintain and adhere to food safety policies and practices
• Sort, grade, and pack produce into trays, bags or boxes ensuring product quality and package appearance meet customer requirements
• Follow safe work practices, and maintain a safe work area
• Work collaboratively with all warehouse team members

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to count.
• Must be able to stand /walk for up to 10 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach above and below shoulders.
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling, and handling various materials frequently during a shift.
• Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of products.
