Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Social Media & Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, focused on daily content creation, community engagement, and supporting marketing initiatives across all departments. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media trends, thrives in an in-person, collaborative environment, and is comfortable representing the brand both online and at events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and actively engage with comments and direct messages across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
- Post daily stories highlighting upcoming events, featured flavors, promotions, and behind-the-scenes content
- Create engaging content (Reels, photos, videos, and stories) for all social media platforms
- Develop and manage monthly content calendars across all platforms
- Engage with local Facebook groups and community pages to increase brand visibility
- Assist in promoting all departments, including retail, catering, weddings, and events
- Attend and represent the brand at marketing events (bridal showcases, expos, community events)
- Capture and create content at off-site events (Cupcake truck visits, weddings, special events)
- Collaborate with the marketing team on Facebook/Meta ads, including budget coordination and campaign execution
- Utilize Meta Business Suite for scheduling, analytics, and promotions
- Participate in monthly marketing meetings and contribute ideas and strategy
- Create internal content (such as training reels) for team education and product knowledge
- Coordinate marketing initiatives, including influencer partnerships, collaborations, and brand campaigns
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, social media, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in Canva (required)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics
- Experience with content creation (photography, videography, editing)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable being on camera and directing others for content creation
- Experience with influencer marketing and brand partnerships
- Knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and basic ad strategy
- Basic understanding of social media insights/analytics
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in food, hospitality, or event-based marketing
- Basic graphic design and branding experience
- Strong eye for aesthetics and brand consistency
Additional Requirements:
- Must be available for occasional evenings and weekends
- Must be able to attend off-site events and travel locally as needed
