Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Engineer. The Staff Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and managing various water and sewer infrastructure projects. This includes preparing technical reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, evaluating and conducting system upgrades, and collaborating with teams to meet project goals. The position requires monitoring ongoing projects, providing technical support, and offering innovative solutions to challenges faced by the district.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in engineering design, infrastructure planning, and project management.
- Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving and data interpretation.
- Knowledge of local and federal regulations related to water and sewer systems.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred but not required.
- Required certifications include an “A” Wastewater Collection and “A” Water Distribution, or the ability to obtain certifications within 36 months of hire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in water and sewer utilities or related infrastructure is advantageous.
