Duties
- Assist with tree removal, pruning, and trimming using arborist rigging techniques and chainsaws to ensure healthy growth and safety.
- Operate bucket trucks (where experience applies) safely for elevated work such as plant pruning care, tree care, and landscape maintenance.
- Support rigging operations for large trees or utility lines using specialized equipment like GIS (Geographic Information System) tools and rigging gear.
- Conduct landscape upkeep including lawn care, planting, and general landscape maintenance to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
- Perform routine inspections of tools and machinery such as bucket trucks and chainsaws to ensure optimal functioning.
- Assist with land clearing activities like tree removal or brush cleanup while adhering to arborist rigging techniques.
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience or a strong interest in horticulture, landscaping, or tree care is preferred.
- Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree trimming practices, and plant pruning care is a plus.
- Experience operating equipment such as bucket trucks or chainsaws is highly desirable.
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and work effectively in physically demanding environments.
- Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (study of trees) is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
