What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver position at Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority?
LCSWMA is looking for a Full Time FIRST SHIFT Truck Driver for our Harrisburg location!!
Our Truck Drivers work Monday through Friday and a rotation of Saturdays and are home every night! Our Drivers stay local and drive in Lancaster and Dauphin County. We offer a robust benefits package including PTO beginning on Day 1 of Employment!
Job Summary:
Operates Authority vehicles (Truck Tractors, Dump, Roll-off, and other trucks) to transfer waste between LCSWMA facilities and assigned destinations in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely and efficiently operate Class A or Class B motor vehicles.
• Maintain knowledge of LCSWMA Rules and Regulations and waste disposal.
• Check assigned equipment daily for proper maintenance and complete Daily Maintenance Reports.
• Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner, and according to applicable laws.
• Obey all Authority rules, regulations, and safety programs.
• Change tires, as necessary.
• Be available to assist in other capacities: as qualified and assigned, to maintain the facility operation as directed by the Transfer Station Site Supervisor and/or Transportation & Logistics Manager.
