What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Maintenance Crew Worker position at Lancaster County Government?
JOB Under direct supervision, the Part-time Maintenance Crew Worker is responsible for maintaining the grounds of county-owned property. This position performs semi-skilled maintenance tasks, operates various equipment, and assists with other duties as assigned to ensure facilities and grounds remain safe, functional, and attractive for public use. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns using commercial lawn mowers and other groundskeeping equipment.
- Perform landscaping duties such as planting, mulching, pruning, and leaf removal.
- Collect and dispose of trash and debris from county properties.
- Maintain sports fields, walking trails, playgrounds, and other park areas.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Assist with set-up and breakdown for special events as assigned.
- Perform minor repairs to park facilities and structures.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Setting up, breaking down, and working special events.
