JOB SUMMARY: Substitute Instructors are responsible for delivering quality instruction in the field of practical nursing using course materials and pre-established lesson plans.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a commitment to student success.
- Teaches skills appropriate to the occupational area that will prepare students to become an economic asset.
- Guides students in selection, perception, and performance of suitable learning activities.
- Starts and ends class at designated time.
- Supervises student conduct to ensure that the potentially classrooms and labs provide an orderly environment conducive to productivity.
- Accepts responsibility for equipment, tools, and supplies assigned to classroom.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
- Current RN license (must obtain licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania before start date).
- 2-4 years of nursing education experience, preferred.
- 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferred.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing, preferred. If no Baccalaureate degree, must give evidence of continuing academic preparation.
