Responsibilities
- Teaches two to three sections of Middle and Upper School Health & Wellness courses
- Teaches two sections of Upper School P.E. courses, including Body Fitness & Wellness and
- In partnership with P.E. and Health colleagues, designs and implements pedagogically
- Supervises and helps maintain the state-of-the-art Rebert Fitness Center
- Serves as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for LCDS interscholastic athletics teams
- Coaches a minimum of two seasons. Please refer to the LCDS website for details on open
- Serves as an advisor for a group of 6-8 mixed grade Upper School students
- Collaborates closely with colleagues across disciplines
- Assesses students regularly, using assessment data to drive instruction
- Provides students and their families with regular and timely information on classroom
- Performs daily operational duties as assigned, including study hall, lunch, recess, bus, or
- Participates actively in the life of the school
Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of teaching and coaching experience preferred
- Comfort with and enthusiasm for Middle School and Upper School students and their
- Commitment to an outstanding teaching practice, including continuous reflection,
- Ability to communicate and partner effectively with parents and caregivers, administration,
- Commitment to create and sustain a safe, equitable, and inclusive environment for all
