CLUB INFORMATION:
Founded in 1900, the Lancaster Country Club is a highly ranked Platinum Club of America and is one of the finest private clubs in all of Pennsylvania. Facilities include an 18-hole championship golf course, 9-hole golf course, 9 tennis courts, 3 platform tennis courts, aquatic, and fitness facilities, along with two separate dining establishments located in both our Clubhouse and Activities Pavilion. We are committed to offering the best services for our 500 members, their families, and their guests in an atmosphere of warm congeniality.
LCC was recently the host of the 2024 U.S. Women's Open Championship, which was incredibly successful and brought tremendous accolades to the club. The club has become more family-oriented, featuring events and amenities for every demographic while focusing on ever increasing programs for youth, including a summer camp, swim team, youth social events as well as extensive junior golf and tennis programs.
POSITION PROFILE:
As a Banquet Server, you will provide exceptional LCC services to our members and guests through event setup, food presentation and table service duties, prep-work and closing tasks, and other duties as assigned to help facilitate a smooth and efficient event service. You will assist on club and private events ranging from 4-250 people in our main event spaces.
We see a wide variety of events so being flexible and willing to retain as much knowledge as possible is key within this position. Here at LCC, we host business meetings, seminars, weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, fundraisers, galas, birthday parties, etc.
We are looking to add eight banquet servers to our team that have daytime availability (Monday-Friday specifically) and 3-4 that have evening availability (after 4:30pm). All must be available weekends and holidays.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Serves all plated meals according to place card indications.
- Keeps non-alcoholic beverage and dessert stations stocked and clean.
- Keeps buffet full and clean at all times.
- Clears all dirty dishes and glassware from tables.
- Keep assigned work area clean throughout shift.
- Assists guests with any questions or needs.
- Assists in setting up and tearing down the function according to the BEO (Banquet Event Order) or function sheet.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous catering/event experience is preferred.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and well-organized environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Work well with others and within a team.
- Must have the ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be dependable, punctual and able to adhere to the designated work schedule.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be comfortable lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, climb and descend stairs when necessary and walk on various surfaces (grass, cement, carpet).
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and reach in any direction.
- Must be able to repeatedly twist to serve guests and maneuver through crowds.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
