Job Overview:
The Clinical Support Registered Nurse (RN) provides administrative and clinical support to medical providers to improve workflow, documentation quality, and patient care coordination. This role focuses on tasks such as prescription processing, documentation assistance, form completion, and follow-up care coordination. Acting as an extension of the provider team, the RN ensures accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of required tasks. The position is primarily remote but includes occasional on-site support for clinic operations and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Active Hawaii RN license (or obtained within 90 days from date of hire) with required credentialing
- Minimum 2 years of clinical/outpatient experience
- Experience with EHR systems and strong knowledge of clinical documentation/medical terminology
- Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and support multiple providers efficiently
- BLS (CPR/AED) certification within 90 days
- Preferred: Administrative/clinic management experience and community health experience
- Strong character, sound judgment, and a compassionate, community-focused mindset

Responsibilities (Remote):
- Support providers with documentation, EHR management, and administrative tasks
- Manage prescriptions, refills, prior authorizations, and coordinate with pharmacy
- Handle patient communication, triage calls, and care coordination activities
- Ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and timely follow-up on patient care tasks
- Contribute to workflow efficiency, quality improvement, audits, and staff support/training
Responsibilities (Onsite):
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments per provider orders or protocols
- Assist with procedures, screenings (EKG, vision, hearing), lab work, and wound care
- Triage patients, manage appointments, and support patient intake and concerns
- Provide patient and family education, counseling, and prescription refill triage
- Maintain a safe, compliant care environment and deliver high-quality, non-discriminatory patient care (including offsite services)
