Position Description: Job Title: Retail Sales
Reports to: Branch Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for customer service, sales, parts management, and inventory in a family-owned gas and welding supply store.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets customers and welcomes them to the store
- Process customer orders received in person at the counter, or by phone, or fax.
- Locate parts for our customers from various sources
- Assist customers with technical support and problem solving
- Promote new and existing products, upgrades, and services to our customers
- Process cycle counts and assists in maintaining the accuracy of physical inventory
- Develop long-term business relationships with our customers to help promote sales growth and gain acceptance.
- Restock and maintain both showroom shelves and product displays
- Maintain a professional atmosphere of the store
- Make occasional deliveries using a company vehicle
- Assist in warehouse duties which include pulling customer orders and putting away stock while operating a forklift
- Acts as liaison between customer and company with regard to pricing, products, delivery information, payments, service, and inquiries.
- Ensures that customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc. are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessary.
- Works safely and meets the requirements of all safety procedures and rules as prescribed by State, Federal, and the Company. Other Duties as Assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED required. Previous welding and retail experience preferred.
Salary : $18 - $20
