Finishing Department Supervisor

Position Summary

The Finishing Department Supervisor oversees all post-casting finishing activities to ensure high-quality parts meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise finishing and shipping/receiving department operations, workflow, and personnel.

• Maintain and troubleshoot finishing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, documented work instructions, and ISO procedures.
• Train and develop employees in finishing techniques, quality standards, and required work center procedures in accordance with 000.W.013.
• Coordinate cross-training activities and support employee development through coaching and performance guidance.
• Monitor department performance to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met.
• Communicate with production control and other department supervisors to coordinate workflow and resources.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Support company production goals through effective departmental coordination and resource management.

Qualifications:

• Experience in finishing operations, preferably in investment casting.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of finishing tools and techniques.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• First Aid certification is a plus.
• Bilingual a plus.

Working Conditions:

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
