The Level I Network and Systems Administrator assists with the support and maintenance of IT infrastructure across a multi-site organization. This includes supporting networks, servers, and cloud systems to ensure technology resources are accessible, performant, and secure for staff and students.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following is a general outline of job functions, not a comprehensive list. Other duties may be assigned. Assist with the maintenance of networking equipment, servers, and virtualization environments.
Monitor system and network performance, escalating issues as needed. Assist with managing and maintaining the technology inventory system. Assist with applying routine updates, patches, and upgrades to systems. Troubleshoot and resolve common technical problems (Tier 1/Tier 2 support) and escalate complex issues to Level II staff.
Assist with monitoring backup and disaster recovery procedures. Follow established cybersecurity practices and controls. Assist with documenting system configurations, procedures, and support resolutions. Support technology projects as assigned by senior staff.
Stay current with assigned technologies and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills. Support compliance with applicable technology and data privacy regulations.
