Industrial Safety Compliance

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM

Lamers Bus Lines is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member to help keep our facilities safe, organized, and compliant. This role plays an important part in supporting our shops and terminals by maintaining safety programs, coordinating training, and assisting with day-to-day shop needs. You’ll work closely with management and help carry forward established programs, keeping them maintained and updated for compliance.

What You’ll Do

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain and support safety and environmental compliance programs (OSHA, EPA, DNR)
• Keep safety records, inspections, and compliance documentation up to date
• Coordinate, track, and document employee safety training
• Manage chemical inventories, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and proper labeling
• Conduct terminal safety inspections and complete monthly checklists
• Support hazardous waste, stormwater, and fire inspection reporting
• Monitor shop and paint booth safety practices
  
  

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist with general shop and facility duties as needed
• Help supervise the night coach cleaning team
• Support facility systems such as radios, cameras, and equipment ordering
• Assist with vendor coordination, contracts, and basic recordkeeping
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Experience or education related to workplace safety, environmental compliance, or industrial operations
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Comfortable using computers and basic office equipment
• Willingness to learn, stay current on regulations, and train others
• Safety-focused, reliable, and team-oriented
• CDL with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake endorsements (or willingness to maintain)
  
  

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, weekday schedule with occasional evenings or weekends
• Work in offices, terminals, and shop environments
• Some exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures
