This role involves managing client matters independently while delivering thoughtful legal guidance and personalized solutions. Working onsite in Cranston, RI, the attorney will join a collaborative medium-sized legal team and report to the Managing Attorney and Founder, with opportunities for professional growth focused on legal expertise.
Responsibilities
- Conduct client consultations and develop estate planning strategies
- Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and deeds
- Manage probate and trust administration matters from inception to completion
- Advise clients, trustees, executors, and beneficiaries throughout estate administration
- Prepare legal documents, filings, and court submissions
- Maintain regular client communication, providing exceptional service
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure a superior client experience
- Maintain accurate time records and manage workload efficiently
- Participate in professional networking and relationship-building activities
- Handle occasional travel to courthouses and external client appointments
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active Rhode Island law license required
- Massachusetts admission preferred or willingness to obtain
- 3–5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration
- Strong legal drafting and client counseling skills
- Ability to independently manage client matters
