Meeting Server - Food and Beverage

Job Overview:

Lambertville House is actively seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Meeting Server to join our esteemed team. As an integral part of our hospitality team, the Meeting Server will play a significant role in delivering exceptional service during meetings and events at our prestigious venue. We are in search of an individual with exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate and fulfill the needs of our valued clients and guests.

The candidate must be reliable and have access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

Menu Familiarity: Review and familiarize yourself with the event's menu as specified in the Banquet Event Order, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each dish and beverage.

Food Preparation: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all menu items. Execute plate assembly and presentation with precision to meet established quality standards. Arrange food and beverage stations, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing presentation in line with the event's theme and requirements.

Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of meeting spaces throughout events, addressing any issues promptly to uphold a positive guest experience.

Communication: Work closely with the Director of Sales and other staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination before, during, and after meetings or events.

Adaptability: Be adaptable and responsive to last-minute changes or client requests, ensuring a flexible approach to meet evolving event needs.

Guest Assistance: Assist guests with any inquiries, directions, or additional requirements they may have during meetings or events.

Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing information about menu items, accommodating special dietary requests, and addressing any concerns or preferences.

Timing and Coordination: Collaborate with the Director of Sales to ensure that food and beverage service aligns seamlessly with the event timeline. Anticipate and address potential challenges to maintain smooth operations.

Service Excellence: Provide professional and attentive service to meeting attendees, including serving refreshments, attending to special requests, and maintaining a high standard of hospitality throughout the event.

Set-Up and Breakdown: Prepare meeting rooms and event spaces according to specifications, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are in place. Assist in the breakdown and clean up after events.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; relevant hospitality training is a plus.

· Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

· Flexibility to work daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

· Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
