Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems, machinery, and controls in food processing environment
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical failures, and repair wiring, motors, and controllers.
- Installation & Upgrades: Install new machinery, electrical panels, conduit, and wiring systems based on blueprints and technical schematics.
- System Optimization: Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), VFDs, and motor control centers (MCCs).
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to OSHA and NEC regulations to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and updated electrical schematics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electricity, industrial automation, and high-voltage systems.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to quickly diagnose issues to minimize costly production downtime.
- Technical Reading: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and manuals.
- Education/Experience: 3 years of industrial electrical experience and active Idaho electrical license
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work with hand tools and power tools, often involving lifting and working in constrained spaces
