Job Overview:
We are seeking a Transportation Market Leader to lead and expand our San Antonio Transportation practice. This individual will provide technical leadership, manage key client relationships, win new work, and oversee successful project delivery throughout Central Texas. The candidate will play a critical role in growing our presence with TxDOT, VIA Metropolitan Transit, City of San Antonio, Alamo Regional Mobility Authority, Bexar County, Hays County and other regional agencies while leveraging collaboration across our Survey, Utilities, and CEI services.
This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of our growing San Antonio office and help expand our Transportation practice throughout Central Texas.
Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Lead strategic growth of the Transportation practice throughout San Antonio and Central Texas.
- Develop and execute client strategies focused on TxDOT, VIA Metropolitan Transit, City of San Antonio, Alamo Regional Mobility Authority, Bexar County, Hays County, and other regional agencies.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities and facilitate capture planning and pursuit strategies.
- Contribute to business development goals through client management, proposal development, and marketing activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients and teaming partners.
- Represent the firm at industry meetings, conferences, and professional organizations.
Project Delivery
- Direct the successful delivery of transportation design projects.
- Manage personnel, project scope, budgets, schedules, quality and subconsultants.
Leadership
- Foster collaboration between Engineering, Survey, Utilities, and CEI to ensure effective communication, coordination, and alignment of practice efforts.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to implement and achieve strategic objectives.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, innovation, and client service.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in transportation project delivery working in the consulting industry and/or working with or for public sector clients.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas.
- Demonstrated success developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Proven experience leading successful transportation pursuits.
- Established reputation within the San Antonio/Central Texas region.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineering professionals.
- Experience in the design and project management of transportation infrastructure projects.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional and effective communication skills, including presentations and written reports.
- Responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources.
- Ability to be self-directed while working with a team.
- Focus on quality, integrity, and success.
